Madden-McFarland reducing its carbon footprint a step at a time.

The Madden-McFarland/PROSHRED 2nd annual Earth Day Shredding and Recycling event was good for people and the space they inhabit. The environmental impact of the day's total of 7,450 lbs. of paper shredding and recycling was:

• 63 mature trees saved from destruction

• 26,075 gallons of water saved from use

• 1,416 gallons of oil saved from use

• 2,187 lbs. of air pollution prevented

• 14,900 kilowatts of electricity saved from use
