“I always wanted to be an interior designer,” says Carla Rieke of her transition from selling computers to working in interior designs. So once her children reached sufficient age, she returned to school and studied interior design. She has been on the staff of Madden-McFarland Interiors since 1999. Carla is blessed with good design skills, a patient and nurturing spirit and a keen sense of style.

PERSONAL STATEMENT
Interior design is a marriage of life and art. We all want to live beautifully and comfortably. For me the defining moment comes when the wishes of my client becomes the drive for my imagination. It is important for me to foster my client’s sense of personal style and to help that style grow and change with the times. Understanding what direction a client wants to take has made me a good listener because ultimately, it is seeing their dreams realized that will make them happy. I create practical solutions while being able to educate on the current trends: always keeping in mind that value is important and that good design should last for many years. My goal is to develop a working relationship that will last a lifetime. I have worked very hard to establish partnerships with the most reliable craftsmen, workshops and professionals in the area to be confident that my clients receive the best possible service. A job is done well when every detail is exceptional. To make that happen, I have chosen exceptional people who take pride in their work. I find great satisfaction in knowing that my clients love being in the environment that I have designed for them.
